This privacy policy tells you what information Get Set UK collects and uses, and your rights regarding your information.
The Good Health @Work service is delivered by Get Set UK and funded by Suffolk County Council. The support service is responsible for delivering the Good Health @Work programme which supports employers with creating a happier and healthier workplace. This means we will collect and use personal and special category data to fulfil these duties.
The processing of personal data is governed by the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA 2018), collectively referred to as data protection law. This privacy notice explains how Get Set UK uses information about you, when you contact us or use our services, and how we protect your privacy.
On behalf of the Good Health @Work service, and Suffolk County Council, Get Set UK acts as a ‘data processor and controller’ for the personal information that is being processed. This means that it collects and processes information. We collect information through our online form and through events, both physical and online.
We collect different types of personal data from you depending on which part of the service you are interacting with. We only ever collect as much data as we need in order to meet the requirements of our commissioner, and in order to provide you with our support services.
We use the information you provide to us in the following ways:
- We collect and use your information because in order to get funding to allow us to provide services to you, we have to submit it to commissioners.
- We use it to provide the vital services you expect and need from us.
- We use it to track your progress with us and we then report that progress onwards.
- In order to improve our services; we may use your information in items such as surveys.
- We may share your information with third parties that we engage to help us provide our services. For example, to register you with an awarding organisation which allows us to award you with a qualification on successful completion of your programme.
You may request to:
- Receive confirmation as to whether or not personal information concerning you is being processed, and access your stored personal information, together with supplementary information.
- Receive a copy of personal information you directly volunteer to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.
- Request rectification of your personal information that is in our control.
- Request erasure of your personal information.
- Object to the processing of personal information by us.
- Request to restrict processing of your personal information by us.
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

Get Set UK will keep personal data for as long as it is needed to fulfil the purpose that it was collected for, and in line with an statutory or locally determined retention periods.
All the data we process and hold is kept safely and securely within IT systems either hosted or approved by Get Set UK.
We do not disclose any data to a third party who is not identified as a key partner. Any data requests received from a third party will only receive anonymised and aggregated data to a level that complies with the Office of National Statistics Disclosure Guidance or, we are required to do so for legal reasons.
The Get Set UK marketing department delivers activities that are designed to promote and communicate updates about events and news that may be of interest to you. We use our websites, social media accounts and other channels such as email, for example, to carry out our marketing duties. We may ask for your consent to opt in to receive marketing communications.
